There are nine functions on The Artist, controlled with two simple buttons on the toy’s handle - one to turn the toy on and navigate through speeds, the other to turn the toy off and navigate through modes. As the G-spot-stimulating head flexes with your body, the handle sits perfectly, so it doesn’t feel awkward to use. My favourite feature of this handle is the two ‘pinch points’ on either side towards the base, though. Unlike many other rabbit vibrators, The Artist prioritises clitoral stimulation equally - if not more so - than G-spot stimulation. Unlike other rabbit vibrators, this one doesn’t have two ’ears’ that separate over the clitoris. Instead, there’s one singular head on the end of the upper arm. While I was initially sceptical about how effective this would be, I didn’t need to be concerned - the unique head offers vibration similar to a classic clitoral vibrator, like the rose sex toy, targeting the nerve endings on the head of the clitoris without a problem.

The only downside to this powerful device I found was the charging time versus running time. You’ll need to leave it plugged in for almost four hours to see the battery up to 100% - but you can leave it charging for an hour for a quick buzz. Once fully charged, you’ve only got an hour’s use before needing to charge it again. For the price, however, this is a good trade off.

There are 10 modes available, all controlled by the same on/off switch on the base of the toy. These cover the basics in terms of speed (regular, fast, and faster) and pulsations in my opinion, with a great choice available. I found the modes are super easy to switch through with the touch of a button, making finding something that works for you in the heat of the moment super easy.

Normally, we’d look at devices powered by batteries as a negative point - given the need to constantly replace them - but I find the batteries to be a positive in this case. This is an ideal vibrator to take on holiday with you and the batteries only add to this, with no need to remember another USB in your suitcase. Once you’ve set it up, it’s ready to go until the batteries run out.

It’s not the most advanced toy when compared to others like the LELO Soraya 2 and the We-Vibe Nova 2 that offer separate functionality of the dildo-like arm and the rabbit ears, but for just shy of £30, it’s a great little treat.

“There are 10 different vibrations to choose from with this toy, which seems like a lot, but I found I moved through them pretty quickly as they’re all quite different from each other and none of them are so intense you’d have to stop using the toy,” our tester Tanya, who reviewed many other vibrators, says. “I think this is because the typical bunny ears are replaced with a pressure-wave head that goes over the clitoris rather than pressing down on either side of it.”

There are also 11 different pressure waves to choose from with this toy so you’ll certainly be able to find something that works for you, whatever your sensitivity level. To get the vibrator going, you do have to twist the black nozzle on the base and this can be quite impractical in the heat of the moment as it’s quite rigid, but it’s doable.”
